Canopy and Curtains

In upholstery terms, “canopy” and “curtains” refer to decorative elements used to cover and adorn beds, windows, or other spaces.

A canopy is a structure placed over a bed to create an elegant and romantic appearance. It typically consists of an elaborately designed frame placed over the bed and may be adorned with hanging curtains. In addition to its decorative function, a canopy can also provide some privacy and protection from light. Historically, canopies were associated with nobility and were used to shield sleepers from cold and insects.
